About

Shelly Henriquez-Neill

I’m Shelly Henriquez-Neill and since I was a little girl I’ve been creating space for people to share their stories and bring light and impact to their goals. I grew up on the beautiful island of Jamaica and as a child some of my favorite games to play outside with friends were “school” and “tell me”. Even at a young age those games taught me that when given the right support, people naturally embrace platforms and opportunities to help them lead from where they are with confidence and authenticity. Throughout my career I’ve worked across various industries in support and senior leadership roles. Whether as production assistant in my early days, or Chief of Staff and Director of Organizational Health, I brought training and coaching into the roles to foster team optimization and person-centered approaches driving winning solutions for team and client. This experience has fueled my success today as a leadership, learning, and organizational culture development professional with over 25 years of experience facilitating trainings and workshops, and coaching leaders at all levels. Today, I’m a certified leadership development coach and organizational development certified practitioner (ODCP), with a Masters in Public Communication from American University. I put my experience to work in support of organizations and leaders serving social good. I’ve always had a solid focus on supporting BIPOC professionals in these spaces and at the end of the day my passion lies in helping communities build bridges toward their goals.

I’m also a martial arts practitioner and instructor - specifically the internal arts of Tai Ji Quan (Tai Chi), Qigong, Ba Gua and Xing Yi. I’ve had the privilege of competing in local, international and world tournaments, and taught Tai Ji Quan and Qigong for over a decade at my teacher, Grandmaster Huang, Chien-Liang’s U.S. Kuo Shu Academy. I am an international referee for the World Kuo Shu Federation lending my support to competitions and the promotion of internal Chinese martial arts.

CenteredLead is where my collective experience comes together and my practice integrates elements and modalities from all my training to inspire and inform.

It is the most uplifting experience to help people help themselves on their journeys. I launched CenteredLead so I can show you how. Let’s take a walk!
